One day I’ll be sitting on my laptop, iTunes playing and Don’t Stop Believing will start playing, and I’ll remember the first episode of Glee, how I settled down to watch this new musical comedy, not knowing I would become so attached, to the story lines, characters, the actors. It actually makes me angry that anyone should have to come out. My sister never pulled me to one side and told me quietly that she was straight. Nan never had to risk losing her family because she had fallen in love with a man. Why do gay people need to spend their teenage years preparing themselves for the risk of losing the people they love the most? It seems so unfair.
